Summary/Abstract: Relying upon the study of the pursuit file of the writer and missionary theologist Fiodor Evfimievici Melnikov and on the documents in Romania referring to him, the paper intends to reconstitute his life’s last three decades, under the unfavorable circumstances of the Second World War, of the changings of the political regime in Romania and of the setting up of the Communist regime.
