Summary/Abstract: The article is a presentation of the life story and literary output of Use Sarecka. Her ties with Pomerania have roots in her family tradition, personal and professional life. She is the author of numerous poems, stories and the novel “Verdrangtes” (“Repressed”). The source of inspiration for her literary output are her own experiences as well as those of her relatives, history of the region and the surrounding nature. Her attention is centered on individual human beings and their life experiences against the background of history, on the so-called 'small homeland', the city of Szczecin, Pomeranian landscape, Polish-German relations. Being a person who knows Polish and German realities well, the author strives to act as an intermediary between the two nations and cultures in their rapprochement.
