Summary/Abstract: Among various undergraduate research projects, oral presentations (OPs) have become an essential ingredient to effective communication across curriculum. As far as the use of Technical English (TE) is concerned, the learning process is double due to permanently evolving technology and its inherent terminology on the one hand, and to increasing demands of meaningful academic orality on the other hand. In other words, the general ABC of successful communication (accurate, brief and clear) is doubled by the need of adapting written on-going technical innovations to spoken, communicative and interactive language. The process of transferring data from a written support into a conversational one is followed by the present paper towards a dream come true pedagogical target, namely the development of engineering students’ pragmatic and discursive competencies.
