The determinant discourse through the verb

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the reasons which condition the systematic rendition of the French construction G(roupe) N(ominal)pluriel indéfini V(erbe) [indefinite nominal group in the plural, verb] as V G(roupe) N(ominal)pluriel défini [verb, definite nominal group in the plural] in a written corpus based on novels by Georges Simenon. It appears that the reasons determining the choice of the form in Bulgarian are far from paradoxical in relation to the aspect of the verb [+/- bounded] and have discourse grounding.
