Spirituality of Evangelists

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the basic content of the spirituality of evangelists contained in the fifth chapter of the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Evangelii gaudium. On the first point, “The concept of spirituality,” it was noted that it focuses on its Christian meaning or relationship with the Holy Spirit. The second point, “The specificity of the spirituality of evangelists,” sought to show characteristics of the spirituality of evangelists mentioned by Pope such as driving through the Holy Spirit, communion with the word of God, union with Christ, the love of the people and pray for him and the personality of the wanderer. In the third point, “The association of the spirituality with the proclamation of the Gospel” cited by Francis sought to justify stressed because of the relationship of spirituality to the efficacy of evangelization. It turned out that it boils down to: motivate the proclamation of the Gospel, providing power to him, bestowal of serenity. The last point highlights recalled by the Pope, this time from the point of view of evangelizers, ways of deepening spirituality. After mobilizing evangelizers to care for their spiritual, by reference to the relationship between the holiness of evangelist and the effectiveness of his ministry, Pope recommendations boil down to pray as part of their comprehensive formation.
