Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is an introduction and recommendation the SIFT method of biblical hermeneutics and liturgical preaching worked by Leslie J. Francis and P. Atkins and validated in quite a number empirical research. The SIFT method has its roots in the three fields: a theology of individual differences situated within the doctrine of creation, a conception of Jungian psychological type and empirical observation. The SIFT method addresses in systematic way the four sets of questions posed by the four psychological functions of sensing and intuition, and of feeling and thinking to each passage of scripture in turn. The effects are the four distinctive hermeneutical perspectives. The four psychological functions enable a fully rounded approach to interpreting the text and to preaching the word of God to audience with all psychological type preferences, to bring all four voices of scripture into the pulpit.
