Summary/Abstract: China’s evolution incited numerous quarrels and discussions regarding the policy adopted by its leaders and the ideology they promoted. Its history resonates through countless internal disorders that culminated with the state’s consolidation as a great power in the context of major changes on the international scene. The role played by China has determined major external echoes.The following article underlines the main aspects of China’s road to economic supremacy, focusing on its interests and objectives. As major player on the international scene, China orients its actions towards sustainable development supported through continuous promotion of world peace and its voice is heard all around the world.
