Summary/Abstract: It is commonly believed that great enterprises need specialized and dedicated IT tools for supporting decision-making processes related to logistics. However, market transformation and changes increase the pressure on activities in logistics field of small companies. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) need specialized software as well. The main reason is working within a competetive enviroment with the high pressure on time, accuracy and effectiveness of logistics activities. Currently there are many IT solutions on the market dedicated to small and medium-sized companies. There is also significant development network solutions for smaller companies and cloud software programs, taking into consideration their specific characteristics and needs in the field of logistics decision-making processes. This article calls for the need of broader examination of using IT solutions in logistics decisions making within SME.
