Both employers and companies providing online training courses think that the market is growing and that in the coming years, even if it will not replace traditional training, e-learning will be the main refuge of employers pressed by small budgets and the need for well-trained people in a short time. Online training method has clear advantages related to cost, ease of programs implementation towards a wider audience in the company, providing many types of content, according to several types of learning and, most importantly, access to content created by teachers, authors of books or reputable consultants. E-learning courses began to have more success in Romania in the last three to four years, as employers wanted to motivate and train employees without allocating large budgets for training. Considerable advantages are that they can address a large virtual class, are interactive, provide the ability to be accessed from home, which keeps them on the first place concerning employers’ choice for training. The advantages of e-learning stand out more clearly in this time of crisis. Although, at present, training budgets are cut from the priority list of many companies, e-learning is the best solution that can accomplish this additional training of employees, with lower costs than traditional training programs.
