Summary/Abstract: Our paper, initially published in Timpul magazine in Jassy, focuses on Stefan Lemny's historical work, The Cantemirs (Cantemirestii), the adventure of a princiary family of the 17th century. It was published in Paris in 2009 (Les Cantemir. L'aventure européenne d'une famille princière au XVIIIe siècle) and at Polirom Publishing House in Jassy, in 2010 in a version made by Magda Jeanrenaud, and prefaced by Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie.
