On (not only) language mistakes, the style of lexicographic work perception and perspectives on Polish normative linguistics (in response to P. Zbróg)

Summary/Abstract: The paper provides the author’s response to Piotr Zbróg’s comments on the interpretation of some language correctness problems in Wielki słownik języka polskiego PAN (The PAN Great Dictionary of Polish Language). The author, who is the editor-in-chief of this dictionary, admitted to some mistakes in the lexicographic descriptions there, but he claims that a great part of Zbróg’s criticism is the result of misinterpretation of the rules of lexicographic description in the dictionary. The author also presents a few proposals concerning further development of normative linguistics in Poland.
