The condition of the automotive industry and its impact on other sectors of the economy

Summary/Abstract: The paper is an observation of the situation of the automotive industry, the second largest in terms of size and importance, sector of economy in Poland. The objective of the paper is presenting the situation on Polish automotive market and indicating direction of changes. The paper analyses the reasons for the decline, changes in production and significant impact on other sector of the economy. The paper is based on the research conducted by the major research institutions studying changes in the automotive industry. According to the research and analysis in order to verify the situation of the automotive sector and directions in which this one of the biggest industries will have to go to, for maintaining its market position, are, inter alia, seeking alternative solutions to the markets of China or India, the search for efficiency in the area of financing, especially in emerging markets as well as creating models based on the destiny of vehicles - that is, the creation of models based on customer needs
