Summary/Abstract: The present paper depicts almost 200-year-old history of the Uniate parish of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Grodysławice (from the end of 17th century until 1875- i.e. the liquidation of the treaty and consequently the parish). The introduction of this paper provides some general information about its geographical location, its size and the place within the Church hierarchical structure. Having analyzed post- visitation protocols left by the Bishops of Chelm as well as statistical reports the look of both the church and branch churches and their accessories is recounted. As far as the available primary sources have made it possible, not only is the look of the vicarage and ancillary buildings presented but also the parish ecclesiastical benefice and its fluctuation in size and quantity throughout its history is determined. Furthermore, the total number of 14 parish priests residing in this particular parish is defined enriched with some biographical information about each and every one of them. The final part determines the number of worshipers as well as the number of Holy Communion receivers, furthermore, as far as possible, the level of religious awareness of Grodyslawice parishioners is presented.
