Summary/Abstract: This article examines foreign debt of Poland compared with other European Union countries (EU-27) and debt growth factors in Poland. The paper is divided into two major parts. The first part contains the analysis of key indicators related to gross foreign debt of Poland and other EU members in 2005-2012. The next part discuses internal and external debt growth factors in Poland in the nearest future.
