Summary/Abstract: This study deals with issues regarding presents psychological intervention, focusing on assumptions and strategies in during a crisis of health. Serious and chronic somatic illnesses in this paper are defined as the cause of emotional crises. It is possible to use a crisis intervention as an inspiring and effective influence towards a somatically ill patient. A case study of crisis intervention for a cardiology patient is reported to present assumptions and intervention strategies towards patients. The last part of this paper presents the author’s reflections on factors for effective intervention approach in somatically ill patients.
