Legal and economic and financial responsibility of public hospital to the society

Summary/Abstract: The most important position in the health care system due to both the generated costs as well as the specificity of their functions, is stationary care including public hospitals. A series of analyzes on the financial situation of the public health care sector shows that financial problems are permanent in it. The deteriorating economic conditions, in which Polish hospitals operate, are also affected by the state of Polish economy. This article presents selected examples of public hospitals accountability to the society.
