Influence of international logistics on structural and economic changes on the global markets

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the relationship between international logistics development and changes in the global economic environment. It presents the findings of empirical studies on trade transportation metrics by mode of transport, conducted in the period 2004-2012 in the EU countries, including Poland. An estimation of revenues from transport and warehousing services in Poland for the same period is also provided. A logit model (logistic regression) is put forward as a useful tool in the appraisal of logistics infrastructure investments.
