Katowice “Bibliological Study” (1983−2011) – an attempt of description

Summary/Abstract: The article describes a research series entitled “Bibliological Study” edited by the Institute of Library and Information Science at the Silesian University in Katowice. Between 1983 and 2011 19 subsequent volumes were released, comprising 250 articles written by over one hundred authors. The article contributors are mainly researchers, academics and librarians, chiefly connected with Silesia. The author presents the editorial staff, co-workers, publishing features and mainly subject areas using bibliometric analysis.
