Summary/Abstract: The following article treats a less debated Romanian writer after the communist period: Alexandru Ivasiuc. He had a controversial life and a prolific literary activity through ten years, given the fact that he died at just forty-four years. Apart from the novels he wrote, Ivasiuc wrote down many articles and essays that appeared in two volumes: Pro domo. Radicalness and value and Pro domo. In these essays, the author brings out his life philosophy and his Marxian convictions that influenced his writings. The articles bring forward a man filled with contradictions. Alexandru Ivasiuc goes from politics to ideology, from philosophy to literature without denying his affiliation. The style of his writing is frank and honest. Through the articles, he wanted to bring the readers’ attention upon the social and cultural issues of that period.
