Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to examine the relationship between values, life satisfaction and gratitude. The data were collected in two cultural contexts: in Colombia (N = 26, 26% men and 74% women; age: M = 38 years; SD = 9,38) and in Poland (N = 475; 30% men and 70% women; age: M = 40 years; SD = 6,78). Following questionnaires were used: the Portrait Values Questionnaire, Life Satisfaction Scale, and Scale of Gratitude. The obtained results revealed differences in happiness and value orientations in both cultures. In the Colombian group life satisfaction was positively correlated with Self-Transcendence (Benevolence and Universalism) and Conservation (Tradition, Conformity, Security). In the Polish group life satisfaction was correlated with Self-Transcendence, Self-Enhancement (Power and Achievement) and Openness to change (Hedonism, Stimulation, Self-Direction). In both groups there was a strong relationship between life satisfaction and gratitude.
