“OPOWIEŚCI NIEOBECNYCH” – THE ROLE OF DESIGN IN CREATING EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. THE FATE OF THE JEWS FROM BĘDZIN

Summary/Abstract: To show history and encourage the discovery of it is not an easy task. This requires not only substantive correctness, but also an understanding of the audience, which can be characterized by different skills, sensitivities and personal experiences related to the fate of the community. Especially when the history is forgotten or for some reason is not clear from various interpretations, this task can require specific skills. The group of professionals who work on such studies today very often have to include designers. Their task is to find the form and the way to get to the users. The purpose of this paper is to show the possibilities of modern design in relation to the promotion of history. The good example will be the City of Bedzin and the history of the Jewish community which once lived there in large numbers.
