Summary/Abstract: The present work presents the recent optimizations and improvements of the Easy-Learning online platform. The goal of the paper is extending and introducing new standards in the Easy-Learning platform, developed since 2004. The main objective is to optimize the Easy-Learning platform, using present and future standards and technologies. The main improvements brought to the platform are: rewriting most of the code from Views, forms and a part of the Symfony core to be according to HTML5 standards; radical change of the interface and its optimization for intelligent phones and tablets; rewriting and optimization of the JavaScript code. Almost all the code from Views has been rewritten, also the way in which the information is presented starting from the basic layout of the application that is the skeleton. Now it is semantic and uses HTML5 tags. Also all the design has been changed, each page of the application being modified to correspond to the new requests.
