Summary/Abstract: The study is based on a conference held by Professor Nicolae Ghiulea in 1946. In this context, Ghiulea makes a parallel between the two doctrines, the scientific socialism and the modern cooperative, leaving utopian conceptions, sentimentality and related ideologies aside. He strictly refers to scientific socialism, as built by Marx and Engels, and modern cooperative, with its principles established by the equitable Rochdale pioneers. Although seen at first as two completely different notions, the professor reveals many similarities and connections between the two systems, while also pointing out the differences that singularize them.
