The export activity of entities with foreign capital in Poland in the years 2004–2012

Summary/Abstract: The inflow of capital in the form of foreign direct investment to Poland affects the level of exports. The article presents an analysis for the years 2004–2012 of the share of export sales by companies with foreign participation and the participation of the largest exporters (companies with foreign capital) in Polish exports in the same period. The financial crisis (2007–2012) caused a noticeable drop in the share of exports of the entities in the whole Polish exports, but it is a level which is solid, statistically significant and sustained for several years at around 2/3 of all companies with foreign participation and a little less than 1/5 for the largest companies.
