Functional typology of Lower Silesia municipalities and “Development strategy of Lower Silesia Voivodeship 2020”

Summary/Abstract: The study concentrates on functions of rural and urban-rural municipalities of Lower Silesia in 2011. Research was related to previously made typology from the years: 1996, 2005 and 2010. The same standard was used to classify analyzed objects into different functional types of municipalities: structure of economy, level of industrialization, degree of tourist developing. The second aim of the work was to describe the document “Development strategy of Lower Silesia Voivodeship 2020” taking into consideration the same parameters used in typology. A final result was to compare “Development strategy…” to functional aggregation of Lower Silesia municipalities.
