Summary/Abstract: This paper analyses attitudes towards rap music (hip hop) in Poland based on survey data. Attitudes declared towards rap music in Poland in 2005 are compared with socio-economic characteristics (age, sex, educational attainment, place of residence, financial conditions). In addition the relationship between listening to rap music and techno among youth is described. The analyses are based on the results of a representative survey of the Polish public carried out by CBOS (sample size - 4169).
