The Women from Golo Bordo Region, Albania: voice and muteness

Summary/Abstract: Thе paper presents the women’s position in the slavonic community from the region of Golo Bordo, Albania. The text contains two aspects. The first aspect is the patriarchal pattern of golobordians, the female subordination position, the non-presence of women in the public area, a kind of “muteness” of women in Golo Bordo. The second level is a consequence of the first – it is related to women's repertoire, which is predominantly rite and only in ritual context it can be heared the “voice” of women.
