Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to point out the theoretical foundations of economic, environmental and social sustainability, through a literature review in the light of the views of different economic schools. Social, economic and environmental order forms a triad concept of sustainable The conclusion is that economics, ecology and technological progress are the three areas of human life, which are closely correlated. Technical progress, which is the driving force must be stimulated by the environment. The excessive exploitation of the natural environment will result in disturbance of the ecosystem. Thanks to the knowledge and economic analysis it is possible to strike a balance between these three issues.
