Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the religion of Islam, its history, ethical and legal principles and presents closer its relationship with economy. The first part of the article provides an introduction to the history of Islam. The second part focuses on the sources of legislation in Islam. Third part presents the ethical principles of islamic economics. Fourth part describes islamic economics as a separate branch of knowledge.
