Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the difficult relationship that exists between two value fields: the aesthetical and the ethical. The main emphases are: the aesthetical and ethical in the historical-philosophical context, these two concepts in an axiological perspective, the contemporary point of view, and grounds for pessimism.
