Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present the influence of the regional government on the market financial system as a challenge and to point out areas of its potential impact on the structure and functioning of financial institutions, in particular banks. In frames of two distinguished areas: the direct influence and the indirect influence, indicated forms of the influence of the regional government on the market financial system will be shown.
