Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present the main assumptions of the idea of the flexicurity and changes of forms of employment related to its implementation (including part-time employment) and to demonstrate their impact on the economic situation of employees in Germany. The study adopted two hypotheses, which have been verified by the analyses. They show that increasing the flexibility of employment forms took place in Germany at the expense of employees without ensuring the proper social security and led to the growing dissection of income and the risk of poverty among working people. Germany, so far, failed to provide proper social safety according to the demands of the flexicurity.
