Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the rules of using qualitative comparative analysis in counterfactual comparative case study. The analysis includes an identification of the structures of relationships that form the patient satisfaction in the diagnostic department of one of hospitals in Krakow. Boolean algebra using QCA library of the R statistical package was applied in the analysis.
