Summary/Abstract: The substantial growth of both medical science and technologies during the last century has been coherent with a rising concern related to the legitimacy of human action in various areas of life. The contemporary medical research has opened new perspectives on science. In the given context, both reason and ethic judgement have to state their word for the natural laws to be observed. Recent research on human embryo, abortion issues and the DNA mapping are only a few problems that are to be analyzed in their relation to healthy moral criteria. This study analyses the bioethical research that is currently taking place in several medical centers. It also highlights the difficulty the contemporary bioethics is facing because of its will to encourage the medical progress which, at its turn, should pay serious attention to both human life and person.
