Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, all successful companies, public institutions or non governmental organizations have a management for communication or a strategic program designed for public relations. This activity is expected to build confidence in the public as an obligatory factor for success. The purpose of management is to influence public opinion and win the public over to realize their goals. The concept of public relations denotes a communication activity that the English speaking world calls public relations or PR for short. It is believed that this term first began to be used in the USA, from where its use spread to other countries. Media relations, event creation and management, internal communications, relations with public institutions, relations with the market, relationships with the local community, crisis communications, lobbying, are only some of the many kinds of public relations. There are many different approaches and interpretations of the term public relations, but they all have one in common: that the activity of public relations has a bright future and that it is among the most promising professions in the world.
