Summary/Abstract: The poetry from the Canary Islands has been controversial from its beginnings. But if we study it in depth, we discover local features and concomitances with some literary genres of Hispano-American Literature, which provides it a proven originality. This article will try to answer some questions about its Atlantic identity.
