Summary/Abstract: Human resource management is the set of activities directed at attracting, developing and maintaining the effective workforce necessary to achieve company's objectives. Because this managerial function is central to a company's success, top managers should adopt a strategic perspective on it. Human resource management activities include: human resource strategy, staffing, performance evaluation, management development, and compensation and labor relations. The needs of the international human resource management are partially dictated by a company's degree of internationalization. The international company can hire managers from the home country, from the host country, or from third countries. Main purpose is to select employees who have the skills required to perform the particular jobs. Therefore, international companies have the opportunity to choose between three types of stuffing policies: ethnocentric, polycentric and geocentric. Each of these policies has good and bad sides. According to them, the company can implement the policy, which is the best at the moment and in the given circumstances. In contemporary conditions, there are number of factors that influence the staff policy of the company and they can be divided in two groups: external and internal. At the end we can conclude that the managers of the international companies should develop system of human resources, which will maximize the efficiency of the whole human potentials, especially of the managers expatriates.
