Summary/Abstract: The Image of the Cleric in A.V. Amfiteatrov’s Small Prose. XIX century in was marked by development of natural sciences that has led to loss of spirituality. Images of clerics and spiritual leaders all appear in works of art less often. Heroes become socially active persons more often. A.V.Amphitheatrov is one of few writers which heroes of products become people of huge spirituality.
