Summary/Abstract: The most famous work of the Swedish scholar Åke Ohlmarks (1911-1984) is his book Studien zum Problem des Schamanismus (“Studies on the Problem of Shamanism”). Written in 1939 this book has oft been seen as one of the earliest books treating the topic of ‘shamanism’ as such.
