Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on issues relating to the exploration of working time. The importance of its rational use in achieving the projected production volume in order to increase business results are emphasized. The main directions of analytical studies are outlined. Indicators are proposed that can characterize the degree of utilization of working time. The article accentuates opportunities for quantifying the influence of factors determining its dynamics and for calculating the losses incurred if there is an increase in labor hours not worked.
