Summary/Abstract: Biometric control and surveillance systems are doubtlessly a moot issue in the ongoing debates of the academic, as well as more general public. In that sense it hardly needs stressing the importance of a public debate addressing one of the most challenging topics in numerous western societies and certainly in Serbia, which is yet another in a series of facts proving that the so-called global and local problems can not be artificially separated and are most often mutually interlinked.
