Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, criminological research takes into consideration both the multifactorial etiology of the phenomenon of criminality under the aspect of studying the crime, the criminal, and the victim, and the social reaction to the phenomenon, which affords the specificity of anticriminal policy and practice. Thus, a change of viewpoint imposes itself starting with the study of antisocial phenomena from the perspective of risk factors and criminogenic needs and needs to lay at the basis of flexible, efficient criminal policies, delineating anticriminal strategies and practices focused on the component of social prevention. The ultimate purpose of the investigative undertaking should be represented by the ensurance of public safety in the context of applying the principles of restorative, relational or balanced justice .
