Methods of forming of cross-cultural competence in the process of professional training for foreign languages

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the problems of forming cross-cultural competence in the practice of German language teaching and studying at institution of higher education. The aim is to analyze works investigating this phenomenon and provide reader with a system of exercises that implies adoption of linguocultural components functioning in German. The author introduces the structure of the concept ‘cross-cultural competence’ and defines this one as a combination of knowledge, skills, abilities that contribute to intercultural effectiveness.
