Summary/Abstract: The following paper focuses on issues shared on www.nerwica.com forum by people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Compulsions and obsessions are hampering not only the life of a sick person but also of his or her relatives. Obsessions are thoughts that are persistent and intrusive. They remain with a sick person regardless of time of the day. Thoughts can cover, for instance, the death of a sick person or the end of the world. A detailed analysis of chosen postings covered years 2006, 2007, 2010, and 2011. Messages were posted on topic: “Obsessive-Compulsive Neurosis – My history, Manifestations, What to Do...” The main point of the analysis is to draw conclusions on the influence of the OCD on the psychological, emotional, and social aspects of disputants’ lives. The analysis not only helped in acquiring a holistic view on the studied issue but also in proper selection of posts and their objective evaluation.
