Summary/Abstract: The political turbulence in the Middle East and North Africa, going on since December 2010, poses a major challenge for Poland and for all other nations, namely to thoroughly reformulate the policy towards the region. The current status of the Arab-Israeli conflicts is no longer the chief factor determining stability in the EU’s southern neighbourhood, with new importance being assumed by the unprecedented tempestuous socio-political changes in the region.
