Summary/Abstract: Socio-cultural and demographic changes in marriage age at Bulgarian Catholics of Plovdiv during the first half of the XX century (based on information from Gen. Nikolaevo village) / This report focuses on identification of certain core features of marriageable age in the Plovdiv village of Gen. Nikolaevo in the first half of the XX century and is part of a more extensive study (case-study), thematically linked to the issue of marriage and family in Bulgarian Catholics from Plovdiv region during this temporal span. Striving to examine the demographic and socio- cultural aspects of marriage and age regulations envisaged in the community, provoking application of the analysis in the area of the intersection of research fields of ethnology, sociology and demography.
