Summary/Abstract: This study deals with seven historical documents found in one Polish archive destroyed in 1944 («Krasinski» Library of Warsaw, documentary fund BOK-6584), pertaining to the correspondence from 1722-1725 (the reign of M. Racoviţă). The senders of the letters are the reigning prince himself, his son, I. Racoviţă, the constable C. Costaki, the second chancellor G. Cantacuzino, the Polish Fr. X. Strachocki, secretary of the prince chancery. The addressee was Prince G. Lubomirski, high dignitary (chamberlain) of the Polish Royal Court, great land owner, having properties in Moldavia, near Dniestr. The content of these letters emphasises the existence of some tight economic relations and of some strong interests of both parties (the reigning prince of Moldavia, his dignitaries and high officials, on the one hand, the Polish dignitaries, on the other hand). This proves the existence of a Moldavian-Polish cooperation at various levels, contrary to the legal status imposed by the Sublime Porte to Moldavia, after the events of 1711.
