Summary/Abstract: The author describes the eagerness with which the Romanians were always “waiting for the Americans” (especially after the end of the Second World War) so they would release them from the communists. Dreaming about the “coming of the Americans” is still going on – the author makes a few links to the operation Enduring Freedom and the Romanian participation and the discussion regarding Romania and the International Criminal Court.
