Modern Russian Ethnonationalism: Genesis, Organizations, and Prospects

Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the origin of modern Russian ethnonationalism, the main Russian ethnonationalist organizations which existed between 1990 and 2012, and their typology. Attention is paid to the problem of whether it is valid to refer to Russian ethnonationalism as Russian fascism and to the emergence and existence of national democratic orientation within the Russian ethnonationalist movement. A conclusion is made about the ideological and style heterogeneity of Russian ethnonationalism.
