Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the culture of modernity, upon which modern management as a specific field of activity was formed. It is shown that the principle of the freedom of subjectivity (underlying cognition and activity) generates subject–object relationships, which, being essential for management as well, are fraught with continuous crises. Rationalization and morality are considered to be the means of crisis management.
